Ground was broken this morning on the multi-million dollar Alice's Road project from University Avenue to Ashworth Road. KCCI reports crews will be paving about 1.5 miles of roadway with four travel and turning lanes. Plans call for the roadway to be expanded to six lanes as traffic demand builds in the area. The total cost of this phase of the project is $13 million.
