Des Moines police say they have in custody the man who robbed 5 convenience stories in the past two weeks. 22 year-old Denzell Bullock is charged with robbing Star Liquor on East 14th, Valero on East Euclid, Kum and Go on Guthrie, Sahota Foods and Liquor on Southeast 14th and Star Service on Ingersoll. He was armed with a handgun during all of them and pistol whipped a clerk in one robbery, causing police to worry he was becoming more aggressive and violent. Acting on tips they spotted his car and chased him down. They recovered the gun.
