Randolph Rehab Support Tied to Low Income Housing

During a workshop today, Des Moines' City Council's made housing for current low income residents a priority in plans to renovate the Randolph Hotel in downtown. The Des Moines Register reports the 108-room hotel's home to low income residents and transients. The city's considering a $3.3-million economic development for Sherman Associates plans for a $15-million rehab of the hotel and two adjacent buildings.
