The EPA's working with the city of Des Moines to find ways to convert a 1-mile stretch 6th Avenue into a testbed for environmentally sustainable streetscapes, infrastructure and policies. Mayor Frank Cownie and EPA Region 7 Administrator Karl Brooks will discuss the project at a conference Monday morning at City Hall.
