Population growth

Our state growing more quickly this decade then the previous one. U.S. Census Bureau figures show Iowa's population grew by 10,089 people between July 1, 2011, and July 1, 2012.In the two years between 2000 and 2002, the population grew by about half that. Iowa's growth was largely driving by births outnumbering deaths and more people moving to the state from other countries. The census figures show a net of 4,200 people from other countries moved to Iowa in the past year.
