Immigrants with Deferred Action Won't Get Drivers Licenses

Iowa DOT's decided it will not issue driver’s licenses or state ID cards to undocumented immigrants who's qualified for deferred action for childhood arrival status by the Federal government. Director Paul Trombino tells the Des Moines Register state law only allows those documents to be issued to a foreign national authorized to be present in the United States.
