The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from tomorrow night through Friday. KCCI reports light snow's expected to start tomorrow across northwestern Iowa, with 1 to 3" possible in Des Moines. Totals of 3 to 5" are possible for areas along and north of I-80 by Friday afternoon.
