Iowa DOT's advising everyone to avoid travel across most of the state from 8p.m. tonight through noon tomorrow. The National Weather Service has a blizzard warning in effect from 6 p.m. tonight to 6p.m. tomorrow. On top of a forecast 6 to 10 inches of snow, KCCI reports near blizzard conditions are expected with sustained winds of 25 to 35 mph, and gusts as high as 45 mph.
