February Sentencing for Egg Bribery Case Plea

The ex-manager of an Iowa egg farm, faces a maximum 5-years in federal prison when he's sentenced in February. Tony Wasmund pleaded guilty to conspiracy to bribe a USDA inspector to allow sales of eggs that had been withheld for failing federal standards. Wasmund worked for Jack DeCoster, whose northern Iowa operations were blamed for the 2010 salmonella outbreak that led to recalling over half a billion eggs.
