Celebrate the St. Patrick's Day weekend carefully, because extra officers will be everywhere as part of an effort to stop drinking and driving over the holiday. Central Iowa Traffic Safety Task Force agencies say the beefed up patrols will be in place until Monday. Each police department and sheriff's office is developing their own plan of when and how many officers will be on the streets at any given time.
