Gov. Branstad's signed a bill giving 26-counties a share of $11.6-million, so they can keep providing mental health patients with while the state moves to a new regional mental health care system. KCCI reports the Human Services Debarment recommended less, but the legislature pushed the higher level citing problems the state's having in providing services now.
