Gov. Branstad's released a list of 26 local government officials statewide who are becking his property tax reform plan. None are from Des Moines or Polk County government. According to the Des Moines Register, Branstad wants to roll back property tax rates for commercial and industrial property owners by 20%, and slow tax hikes for everyone by lowering the growth of taxable value.
