Iowa's Transportation Department's going to start working on formal rules to cover where and how traffic cameras are used on state highways. The Des Moines Register reports the rules would give local governments a clear process for documenting traffic safety issues and implementing solutions including cameras. The state wants to have the policies in place before the end of the year.
