June Simpson wants her now 13-year old daughter back, after the child's adoptive parents, Paul and JoAnn Drake of Ankeny, were charged with false imprisonment, neglect and abandonment. Simpson tells KCCI her daughter told her 4-years ago, that she was being physically abused by the couple. The state's investigating charges the Drake's locked their adopted children in a basement anytime they weren't in school for a three to four week period.
