Sen. Chuck Grassley and Cong. Steve King, both Iowa Republicans, joined Democratic colleagues today calling for an extension of the production tax credit for wind energy. The Des Moines Register reports the credit subsidizes the generation of wind power and is considered critical to continued growth in the industry. It's set to expire at the end of the year.
