Republicans have picked West Des Moines City Councilman Charles Schneider as their candidate to run for the 22nd State Senate District seat, vacated by last month's death of Pat Ward. The Des Moines Register reports the 39-year old Schneider will face democrat Desmund Adams, a Clive residents and businessman in a special election December 11th.
