State Providing Incentives for Fertilizer Plant Expansion

CF Industries is planning a $1.7-billion expansion at its fertilizer plant in Woodbury County. It's expected to create 100-new jobs. Iowa's Economic Development Authority's awarded the project $1.5 million in direct assistance and tax credits, for a total of $22-million-which could reach $57-million over 4-years; and $13 million in refunds on sales taxes paid during construction and $9 million in investment tax credits.
