A legislative committee votes tomorrow on a proposal that would require an inmate to get only 3 instead of the current unanimous vote from the state parole board for high-risk inmates to be granted parole. The three vote rule's coupled with new risk assessments, including rating the chances that a released inmate would commit a violent crime.
