Polk Supervisors Sign Off on Land Swap

Polk County's Board of Supervisors has approved a letter of intent that'll start a three way land swap. The deal will see the county trade the empty convention complex and $500,000 cash to Wellmark in exchange for the former J.C. Penney building. That will be turned into county court space, and the former convention site will be sold to the YMCA. The swap gets the county something its wanted for several years: more court house space.
