A Polk County Judge's granted class action status to a lawsuit about bedbugs. The Des Moines Register reports the suit claims the owners of two apartment buildings serving the elderly and disabled ignored resident complaints about bedbugs going back to 2007. About 300 current and former residents sued in March of last year, seeking back rent, damages for lost property and other problems. Many residents were repeatedly bitten and more had to throw away infested furniture.
