Mobile camera units used to catch speeders could be coming to Polk County. The Des Moines Register reports Sheriff Bill McCarthy's asked the Board of Supervisors to consider a program that would allow his office to use mobile speed units in unincorporated areas where deputies cannot run radar as often as they would like. McCarthy says there've been a number of deadly accidents over the last 5 years in those areas that involved teen drivers speeding.
