Des Moines police are investigating the murder of 26-year old Joseph Watley. Detectives say he was found shot to death in the doorway of an apartment building at 4200 Hickman Road around 3:30 this morning. KCCI reports the owners of the apartment complex have issued a statement saying Watley and the person who killed him weren't residents, and that it appeared Watley was running through the property to get away from the gunman.
