There could be a 32 million dollar hotel development in Des Moines. The Des Moines Register reports that Waterfront Lodging LC wants to build a 129 room hotel and a parking garage at Second and Water Streets and city council will hear it on first reading today. In five years, the company says it might build another hotel close to Principal Park and the Science Center of Iowa and the city said that could bring more visitors to the area.
