The jailer is in jail. Former Story County jailer was ordered to jail by a judge after the jailer used a shock device on an inmate. Kip Strickland of Baxter pleaded guilty to two counts of simple misdemeanor assault after the incident in March of this year. Court document indicate that the judge gave Strickland 60 days because he failed to do his job to protect those with whom he was charged. Strickland couldn't get the Iowa State Supreme Court to look at the case.
