Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a fire Wednesday night that destroyed a home in Ames. KCCI reports that firefighters said when they got to the home at on Reagan Street, flames were already shooting out of the roof. Crews said two people inside the home escaped unhurt. Damage to the home is estimated at $250,000. Investigators are not calling the fire suspicious.
