ISU Honors Veterans Who Died for Our Country

Four former Iowa State University students who made the ultimate sacrifice were honored in an emotional ceremony last night on the eve of Veterans Day. Air Force Staff Sgt. Joseph Hamski one of the honrees, died in in May. He was killed by an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan. Sixty years ago, Mary Jane Clithero's husband died in the Korean War. He was also recognized last night. The soldiers' names were engraved on the walls of Gold Star Hall inside the Memorial Union.
