A Des Moines man is now facing charges he killed his girlfirend. Des Moines Police charged Kevin Sellers Friday afternoon with second degree murder for the death of his girlfriend Laura Welch. Police say Sellers and Laura Welch were living together in an apartment on the south side of Des Moines when medics found her not breathing on August 30th. She died later that day at Mercy Medical Center. An autopsy determined she died of blunt trauma. Sellers is being held at the Polk County Jail on $100,000 bond.
