Des Moines City Council's given a green like to the city's police sitting down with the Polk County Sheriff’s office to find ways to share resources and facilities. The Des Moines Register reports one of those ideas will be to work together on a new radio dispatch system that would share the same infrastructure. DM PD's expected to need a new radio dispatch system by 2022.
