Johnston Residents Being Asked for Green Light on New High School

The Johnston School District's asking voters September 11th to approve a $51-million bond issue to build a new high school. KCCI reports the new building would hold a maximum 1800 students and be built at the intersection of NW 62nd Avenue, NW 100th Street and Newport Vista Drive. District officials say they've outgrown the current high school, which they want to convert to a new middle school for grades 8 and 9.
