They're breaking ground tomorrow to start of work on an extension of the Southeast Connector in downtown Des Moines, from SE 15th to SE 30th Street. KCCI reports Mayor Frank Cownie will wave a flag to signal the start of demolition of buildings near 1610 Scott Avenue. The project eventually run from SW 14th Street to SE 9th to the Martin Luther King Parkway on the south side of downtown.
