A group of 60-Iowa National Guard soldiers said goodbye to friends and family in Johnston today. The members of the 1034th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion are heading first to Fort Hood, Texas for training, then heading overseas to Afghanistan. Their deployment is expected to last one year.
