Wells Fargo Worker Canned Over 1963 Crime

Wells Fargo Home Mortgage has fired an Iowa employee over a 1963 conviction. KCCI reports 68-year old Richard Eggers was convicted for using a cardboard cutout of a dime in a Carlisle washing machine. Banks are enforcing new employee federal employment guidelines aimed at people convicted of id theft and mortgage fraud, but they're being applied across-the-board because of a possible $1-million/day fine for noncompliance.
