Des Moines is expected to returning a grant to the state tonight, that was to add bike lanes and re-stripe Hubbell Avenue. The Des Moines Register reports the $360,000 grant's going back to IDOT because there's been no support from area residents and business for the re-striping. The council's expected to keep an eye on the area and look for other ways to boost safety.
