Iowa DOT's denied a Windsor Heights request to install automated speed cams on I-235 between 63rd and 73rd streets. Cameras have already been installed in Des Moines eastbound at 42nd Street. KCCI reports the state suggested other options, including ramp metering at the 63rd Street westbound entrance ramp, as well as an increased State Patrol presence. The City says it will appeal.
