Gov. Branstad says he'll reject a budget compromised from Senate Majority Leader Michael Gronstal. The Des Moines Register also reports the governor's hinted that he'd also reject parts of a bill passed by the legislature Monday that provides funds for professionals who represent juveniles and low income families accused of crime. The big hang up is Branstad wants a 2-year budget, something lawmakers so far haven't completely embraced.
