Des Moines Public Works Director Bill Stowe says Fleur Drive will be closed starting May 2 for up to 3-months. KCCI reports the city will be rebuilding the Fleur Drive viaduct bridge just south of the Gray's Lake south entrance. The closure cuts off traffic between Bell Avenue and George Flagg Parkway. Crews hope to have enough of the project complete by Aug. 5 to open one lane of traffic to vehicles as they work to finish the project.
