Rescue teams saved a man on the Des Moines River who had flipped out of his canoe. Those passing by noticed the man near Prospect Park yesterday afternoon and called 911. The man was not wearing a life jacket. He was taken to Mercy Medical Center for treatment and is expected to be okay.
