Drake University President David Maxwell said yesterday two audits missed a pattern of missing money from students accounts. A recent internal investigation revealed evidence that led police to charge former Drake employee Robert Harlan with embezzlement. Des Moines police say Harlan will turn himself in today. He's accused of manipulating the accounting system so it looked like he was paying bills instead of himself. The paper trail dates back to 2004, and $470,000 missing.
