U of I researcher, Dr. Gary Hunninghake, is resigning as of May 31st. The med school professor and head of the Institute for Clinical and Translation Science was put on paid leave last year after an campus police started an investigation into child porn allegations. KCCI reports right after word of the investigation got out, he falsely reported to Chicago Police that he'd been robbed and stabbed while out jogging. It turns out his injuries were self-inflicted.
