Drake Relay get underway this weekend with street painting today at 4 p.m. Students and staff members will paint the street by the corner of 27th Street and Carpenter Avenue for three hours to mark the start of festivities on campus. The parade happens tomorrow at 2 and will circle around campus starting at 24th Street and University Avenue, moving west on University, then north on 30th Street, then east on Forest Avenue, and ending at Forest and 25th Street. The Grand Marshal this year is Kim Carson, who won the 100-meter special invitational hurdle race at the 2000 and 2001 Drake Relays.
