Wendy Weiner Runge pleaded guilty to a sole count of fradulent practices back in February, related to illegal filmaker tax credits. Runge is now suing the state of Iowa for defamation. She says state employees made damaging statements to reporters, colleagues and the general public. According to The Des Moines Register, her lawsuit doesn't cite specific people or instances. Her sentencing is scheduled for May 17.
