Gov. Branstad picked Paul Trombino, III as the new director of the Iowa transportation Department. KCCI reports the 44-year old's currently a bureau director for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. He'll replace the retiring Nancy Richardson. The appointment's subject to state senate confirmation. The department oversees Iowa's transportation systems, including highways, bridges, aviation, rail and public transit.
