School board members in West Des Moines learned last night the Maplenol Barn that sits on campus won't be demolished, but it will be moved off the Valley High School campus. Preliminary talks are underway between the city and the school district to move the barn to school district land near the historic Bennett Schoolhouse site or a city park. Estimates on the cost to move the barn are still being compiled.
