The Iowa Association of School Boards has announced that the Southeast Polk superintendent will be its next president. A release from the association said Tom Downs was hired Saturday after a final round of interviews. KCCI reports Downs is set to retire in July from the Southeast Polk school district. He said one of his first tasks in his new job will be to rebuild trust in the organization.
