Some of the after-effects of the Okland shooting...a statewide association plans to hire safety experts to meet with real estate agents to discuss better protecting themselves. Des Moines-area real estate leaders also urged agents to re-examine their safety efforts as they schedule open houses again. Also, Iowa Realty posted a safety site for agents yesterday at www.realtorsafetyfirst.com, and it got several hundred hits in its first couple of hours.
