The City of Ankeny and the Ankeny School District today said thanks but no thanks to being part of a proposed regional athletic complex. According to the Des Moines Register both say while they're excited about the project, with a football stadium and Olympic size swimming pool, the current economic climate's isn't one where they believe tax[ayers should be asked to take ob any new financial costs.
