Des Moines Temp Hits 100

The National Weather Service says the temp hit 100 at 2:26 this afternoon at Des Moines Airport. NWS has issued a heat advisory through tonight. MidAmerican's bracing for a demand spike, and advising customers to not only turn up their thermostats a couple of degrees, but to consider doing heat generating activities, like ironing, dish washing and laundry, early in the morning or late at night.
