Iowa's Transportation Commissions given a green light to two projects that will give drivers who use I-235 between 63rd and 73rd streets in the Des Moines metro a break. KCCI reports the plan's to add a lane on the westbound side, starting next year. There are also plans to take I-35 in West Des Moines from 4 to six lanes from the mixmaster south to Jordan Creek parkway, and changes at the I-80/Hwy 65 interchange.
