The Polk County Youth Shelter's opening its doors as an overnight cooling shelter. The Polk County Health Department tells KCCI it'll be open from 7 tonight to 8a.m. Monday. The shelter's at 1548 Hull Ave., three blocks east of a bus stop on the DART #4 route at Hull Avenue and N.E. 14th Street. Food, blankets, cots and showers will be available. Only designated service animals are allowed.
