The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of western and north-central Iowa until 11 tonight. The storms will be mainly in western Iowa today from Mason City southwest to Des Moines through tomorrow morning. The Des Moines metro could get about a third of an inch.
